Locals Photo is a small studio in Miramar Beach. We live here, we know the tides and the light, and we make photographs meant to hang on a wall for decades.

Questions, answered
How much does a photo session cost?+
Sessions start at $275 for a headshot mini session and $400 for a family beach session; weddings start at $3,200. A $200 non-refundable deposit holds your date and goes toward your total (weddings: 30% deposit).
What should we wear?+
Wear solid, soft tones — sand, white, olive, dusty blue — and avoid logos and neon. After booking we send a short style guide with palette ideas for your location.
What is the best time of day for beach photos?+
The hour before sunset is best for most sessions, with sunrise a close second. Midday light on white sand is harsh, so we schedule around it whenever we can.
What happens if it rains?+
You get one free reschedule for weather. We make the call 2 hours before your session, since Gulf storms often pass quickly.
How long until we receive our photos?+
Family galleries arrive in 2 weeks, portraits and brand sessions in 10 days, real estate within 48 hours, and full wedding galleries in 6 weeks (with a sneak peek within 72 hours).
Is there a peak-season surcharge?+
No, there is no peak-season surcharge. Summer sunset slots book 6–8 weeks out, so book early.
What areas do you travel to?+
Travel is included anywhere from Fort Walton Beach to Panama City Beach, including Destin, Miramar Beach, Santa Rosa Beach and 30A. Beyond that, travel is $1 per mile.
